Compliance & Acceptable Use Controls Policy
Effective Date: January 5, 2026
Purpose
GivingForChange is committed to providing a lawful crowdfunding platform for charitable,
educational, community, and personal fundraising while complying with applicable laws
and the requirements of its payment processing partners, including Stripe.
Campaign Review
Campaigns may be reviewed before or after publication to help ensure they comply with
GivingForChange’s Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy, do not promote illegal or
fraudulent activity, do not involve prohibited goods or services, and comply with applicable
laws and payment processor requirements.
Before or shortly after publication, campaigns may be reviewed to help ensure they:
• comply with GivingForChange’s Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy;
• do not promote illegal or fraudulent activities;
• do not involve prohibited goods or services;
• do not violate applicable laws or payment processor requirements.
Campaign Organizer Requirements
Campaign Organizers must provide accurate information, maintain their own verified Stripe
account, comply with applicable laws, comply with Stripe’s Prohibited and Restricted
Business policies, and comply with GivingForChange’s Terms of Use and Acceptable Use
Policy.
All Campaign Organizers must:
• provide accurate information about themselves and their campaigns;
• maintain their own verified Stripe account;
• comply with applicable laws;
• comply with Stripe’s Prohibited and Restricted Business policies;
• comply with GivingForChange’s Terms of Use.
Donation Processing
GivingForChange does not receive, hold, process, transmit, or distribute donated funds. All
donations are processed directly through each Campaign Organizer’s verified Stripe
account. GivingForChange’s only compensation is a separate monthly
marketing/subscription fee and it does not receive any percentage of donations.
GivingForChange does not:
• receive donated funds;
• hold donor funds;
• distribute donor funds;
• act as an escrow service.
All donations are processed directly between donors and Campaign Organizers through the
Campaign Organizer’s own verified Stripe account.
Prohibited Activities
GivingForChange prohibits campaigns involving fraud, money laundering, terrorist
financing, sanctions violations, illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, hate groups,
violence, human trafficking, child exploitation, gambling, deceptive fundraising, or any
activity prohibited by Stripe.
GivingForChange prohibits campaigns involving:
• fraud;
• money laundering;
• terrorist financing;
• sanctions violations;
• illegal drugs;
• weapons;
• counterfeit goods;
• hate groups;
• violence;
• human trafficking;
• child exploitation;
• gambling;
• deceptive fundraising;
• any activity prohibited by Stripe.
Sanctions & Prohibited Jurisdictions
GivingForChange does not permit campaigns involving sanctioned individuals or entities,
prohibited jurisdictions, or activities that violate applicable sanctions or export control
laws. Suspected violations may result in suspension or removal.
GivingForChange does not permit campaigns that:
• involve individuals or organizations subject to applicable sanctions;
• support activities in jurisdictions prohibited by applicable law or Stripe policies;
• otherwise violate economic sanctions or export control laws.
Campaigns suspected of violating these requirements may be suspended or removed.
Monitoring & Enforcement
GivingForChange reserves the right to review campaigns, request additional information,
suspend or terminate accounts, remove campaigns, and cooperate with Stripe, regulators,
and law enforcement where appropriate.
